John Parr - St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion) (Lukather Guitar Cover)

Amazing song and vocal performance, from quite a killer soundtrack, to quite an awful film...in my opinion haha. Can't go wrong with David Foster, especially when he brings in the TOTO keys and Steve Lukather too. John Parr sounds great on this, so much so that you forget he's British. I tried to copy what Luke plays, playing one of the two guitar parts in the second verse in the first. I expand a little bit to fill it out also and have a WDW set up with my Tri Avatar chorus to mimic Luke's tone at the time. Hope you enjoy!!! :)

I covered Don Henley's 'The Boys of Summer' a couple of days ago but that's been blocked everywhere except the USA (which I probably should have seen coming but I had to learn the song anyway), so I'm uploading this as well this week.
I use Jackson DK2 into a Boss Me50, into a Free The Tone Tri Avatar, into a Palmer PDI-09, into my Focusrite interface, recording onto Logic and using some stereo detune and delays to create a faux Wet Dry Wet set up.

My headphones are purposely like that so they stay out of the way. The cable is very long.

I'll be uploading my notation notes to my Patreon here https://www.patreon.com/bwm5150 and if you are looking for custom tutorial content, then message me there or at my email bwmguitarlessons@gmail.com . Let me help you get playing the music you love!
