US Armed Forces Order $81.8 Million More Carl Gustaf and AT4 Weapon Systems
The Carl-Gustaf is a shoulder-launched, man-portable weapon system designed and developed by Swedish defense and security firm Saab to meet a wide range of modern infantry combat needs. The next-generation multi-role weapon system can be used in anti-insurgency and peacekeeping missions, as well as traditional force-on-force conflicts in urban or complex combat environments. It is used to destroy armoured tanks with added armour, neutralize landing craft and bunkers, and clear obstacles. It is also used to engage enemies within structures.
