Sawmill Saga 9 A Day (or Two) at the Sawmill

It's not often I have two full days at my sawmill, what with all the other things in life that require attention. I tried to condense the activity enough that you won't fall asleep but leave enough in for continuity.
Sawing fir was a delightful change from the alder I've been milling exclusively since I received my Woodland Mills HM 122 early this year. More lumber, less firewood.
Making a chart for quick assessment of what size square cant comes out of what size log saves me time and saw blades. I hate wasting anything, so I've tended to cut too shallow and then made extra cuts to shape the cant. I still make more than one initial cut, but, when I do, it's for a good reason.
This video is longer than usual and longer than I like to watch on other channels. I'll try to keep them shorter from now on.
