Cutting Down Nuisance Trees Before the Rest of Them Fall Down

Every strong wind brings down a few dead branches from trees overhanging the driveway. It's been doing that for years, and, for years, I've been telling myself I need to cut those trees down before they damage the car, a fence, or anything else within range.
Earlier this year, an entire tree fell into the driveway. Even that wasn't enough to prod me into action. But this latest one did.
No sawmill this time, but I got a couple of scruffy saw logs, several bowl blanks for my lathe, and firewood.
Now all I have to do is put the fence back up before one of us tumbles down the bank.
