Cutting Bowl Blanks For My Lathe On My Woodland Mills Sawmill and a Bowl Blowup

If you watch many woodturning videos,, you've seen turners cutting bowl blanks from logs with chainsaws. I've done, that, too, but it's noisy, and long, stringy chips sometimes clog the saw.
I have a few logs suitable for blanks, and I plan to saw them as logs on the sawmill, two cuts, one above the pith and the other below. Then I'll cut them to length with the chainsaw.
But I had a few logs already cut to blank length, and I thought it wouldn't be difficult to rip them on the sawmill, too.
I turned a bowl from one of them the next day. Well, half a bowl anyway. Here is the link to that.
