Deck Extension Part 3

We wanted a larger deck, but installing our manufactured home on six acres of steep, forested hillside during the rainy season was costing much more than we anticipated. To cut costs, I told the contractor to make the smallest deck we could legally get away with. So he did. I figured I'd enlarge it someday, and someday finally arrived last summer.
I don't have an engineer's mind, so planning isn't my strong suit. I make it up as I go along, and that wastes a lot of time. But planning takes time, too, and I'm not good at it. I bumble along and eventually get the job done. Sometimes it's painful to watch, so I'm keeping these videos short.
