The Biggest Electric Kit Pitfalls - and How to Overcome Them

Whether you’re willing to admit it or not, there are pitfalls to practicing on an electric drumset. Thankfully there are some tricks for working around these “pitfalls” I’m talking about, though, so my goal today is to give you 5 tips to help you practice like a pro on an electric drumset. For many of us e-kits are an extremely valuable tool for regular practice in a noise-constrained environment like an apartment or dorm. Practicing more realistically on an acoustic kit in these environments is easier said than done, so it’s worth finding ways to “practice better” on your electric drumset in your apartment instead.
