None of us want to make enemies with our neighbors, landlords, or local police, so here are tips on how to play drums in an apartment AND still be friends with your neighbors. See what your practice kit is missing…You CAN “play drums” in your apartment with a little bit of creativity.

*SIDE NOTE...
Try experimenting with different items for the “kick drum,” whether it’s the side of a bookshelf or a plastic container. I used a cajon because I happen to have one laying around. You can also get creative with the “cymbals” and can use pieces of cloth or foam to muffle metal cymbals. This is just what I’ve done based on what I happen to have available, but there are probably dozens of other ways of achieving the same effect.
