Katamiya - Emmanuel Sejourne Marimba Solo Performed by Stephen Clark
Stephen Clark's performance of "Katamiya," by Emmanuel Sejourne.
This catchy Spanish-dance-style piece alternates between a mysterious-sounding minor section and a contrasting major “bridge.” Composed by the world-renowned French percussion teacher and performer, Emmanuel Sejourne, this work provides a change to the “stereotypical,” more dissonant percussion literature.
This performance (Oct. 26, 2014) was part of my Senior Recital, required for my Music Performance degree at Reinhardt University.
Audio was recorded by a pair of condensers over the center of the stage.
