How to Practice When You Don't Have Time to Practice.

How do you find time to practice…when you DON’T HAVE TIME TO PRACTICE?? This question is extremely relevant as we go about our busy lives and try to balance jobs and families with our passions for music. We’re not all in high school anymore, and we don’t have hours to practice each day. How can we make the most of the time we have so that we can grow our drumming skills…without sacrificing the important things in life that really matter? Today I break this discussion down into 3 steps that you can take right now in your practicing. Implement this strategy in your playing, and you’ll find yourself getting results quickly. Ultimately, this is a “quality over quantity” type of method here. Practice WELL with the little bits of time you have, so that you can make progress every day and every week. Practicing drums is just as much a mental process as it is a physical process, and sometimes we don’t even realize how much our minds wander when we practice. Let’s keep our brains focused on the task at hand so that we can make some serious progress on our instrument.
