Walking after a stroke: Does distance matter?
Is there such a thing as too much walking after a stroke or brain injury? If so, how much is too much? And, is “walking” really something you should be working on in therapy? In most cases, the answer is no. In this video, I will explain why outpatient rehab is continuing to move more toward EXCESSIVE walking during therapy sessions, how this may be hurting your recovery, and “alternatives” to traditional “cardiovascular training” after a stroke or brain injury.
