Inside The $12 Million HondaJet 2600 Private Jet

Honda Aviation is truly taking the light jet to new heights with the new HondaJet 2600. At the National Business Aviation Association's BACE in Las Vegas, Honda showcased a new aircraft named the HondaJet 2600 Concept. Honda Aircraft has unveiled a concept for a bigger, faster and longer-range model, and, despite being a prototype, Honda claims the aircraft will be able to fly across the whole United States and also between continents at heights never before achieved by a light jet.

Overview
"We are introducing a new generation of business jets with the HondaJet 2600, which enables efficient transcontinental flight, offers a new level of cabin comfort and capacity, and dramatically reduces CO2 emissions," Honda Aircraft CEO Michimasa Fujino said in a statement. The HondaJet 2600 has a range of 2,625 nautical miles and a class-leading ceiling of 14,000 meters or 47,000 feet. Furthermore, the speed of this light aircraft will be significant: we're talking about a speed of 450 knots. Only the fastest jets in the same class are capable of reaching this speed. Because of this, the HondaJet 2600 will probably be the world's first light aircraft capable of nonstop flight across the United States and also between continents.

Interior
Inside you'll discover one of three new modular layouts. This adaptability allows for up to 11 passengers, however, you should restrict your load to five people to keep the plane running efficiently. The cockpit will be outfitted with cutting-edge flying technology and electronics, such as an autothrottle and auto brake. These features contribute to the plane's ease of flight, making it the first transcontinental jet that can be flown by a single pilot.
During a tour of the prototype at NBAA, Adam Gagnon, senior director of marketing at Honda Aircraft, told Robb Report: "This concept involved a total redesign of the entire cabin." "The cabin is an inch wider and 4.5 inches taller than the 420." All of the small details add up to a unique experience."
The all-new chairs have a more ergonomic design than the previous version, with 180-degree swivel capabilities and reclining footrests. A bed may be installed in the aircraft's rear utilizing footrests between seats and a lightweight mattress. Because the engines are located on the wings, the new aircraft features a full-height galley in front, as well as a big cargo hold on the bottom of the fuselage.

Cabin
The interior will be extremely comfy and ideal for extremely lengthy trips. A bespoke cabin created in an exceedingly rational and ergonomic manner will accommodate up to 11 passengers. The cabin spans 1.6 meters or 62.5 inches high from the lowered aisle to the ceiling and 1.55 meters or 61 inches wide, making it unusually spacious for the passengers. The HondaJet 2600 will also remove the vibrations that sadly often define light planes.
Furthermore, with a cabin altitude of 6,363 feet at its maximum cruising altitude of 14,000 meters or 47,000 feet, the HondaJet 2600 cabin will have the best pressurization among light aircraft. When compared to the typical light aircraft, there is significantly greater passenger room and less vibration. This combination of "visible space and tangible comfort" lessens weariness both on the passengers and pilots.

Price
Although the price for the HondaJet 2600 is still unkown, the guideline price for the new aircraft is expected to be in the $10-12 million range.
Honda Jet 2600 Range
The HondaJet 2600 has also an exceptional range. A light jet cannot typically travel transcontinental distances, as its maximum range is usually approximately 1,800 nautical miles. This is the first light jet capable of flying nonstop from one end of the United States to the other, such as from New York to Los Angeles. Other non-stop transcontinental trips that this aircraft is capable of making include London-Cairo and Tokyo-Bangkok.
Because of this it will probably be the world's first light aircraft capable of nonstop flight across the United States and also between continents.

Efficient transcontinental flight
The HondaJet 2600 will include an over-the-wing engine mount layout, enhanced Natural Laminar Flow technology on the nose and wings, and a carbon composite fuselage to meet Honda's lofty aspirations. The cockpit will contain sophisticated autonomous flight functions including autothrottle and auto-stop. These will improve operating safety by decreasing pilot effort via an easy-to-use, high-tech interface. According to Honda, the HondaJet 2600 is the "first transcontinental jet designed for single-pilot operation."
