In this video, I demonstrate and explain 3 exercises I recommend you do EVERY day to keep your rotator cuff and scapula strong and balanced. This will help counteract poor posture from texting, using a computer, driving in your car and any other daily activities that are forcing you into a rounded forward shoulder posture.
Rounded forward shoulders are growing more and more common due to technology in our day-to-day activities. And recently I've been holding my newborn daughter for many hours a day which made me realize that no matter what you do, no matter how you try to avoid it, you will eventually fall victim some way or another to rounded forward shoulder posture. And, unfortunately, pursuing advanced upper body exercises with a dysfunctional rotator cuff can lead to a shoulder impingement, or worse, a rotator cuff tear.
If your daily habits are affecting your shoulder posture, try to do these exercises (just 1 or 2 sets of each) every day to restore balance to the rotator cuff muscles and increase stability of the humeral head in the shoulder socket. These exercises should accomplish that along with improving shoulder posture overall.
