Traveling nowadays, local or international, is not the same as before. So many challenges along the way. But if safety comes first into mind, it's still possible to do so. Before the onset of the variant Omicron, we booked our one week all inclusive holiday at Memories Flamenco Resort Hotel in Cayo Coco, Cuba through Sunwing Tours. We've been to Cuba several times, but we can't stop going there for so many reasons. Just before our flight, we vetted whether to go or not due to the growing number of cases in other countries. Fears and health concerns abounded in the media which was normal. The joy and excitement to be in a warmer place overruled our mixed emotions. Our additional line of defence was the free standard travel insurance provided to the guests by Sunwing. We also opted to get a Travel Pandemic Plan for extended coverage as an added protection. True enough we felt safe and had peace of mind while enjoying the sun and the sand.
