Frogmore Stew with Family

Guest chef Steph stops by to help me put together this great Lowcountry Seafood Boil (aka Frogmore Stew, or Beaufort Stew). This is a great meal to gather around the table with family. You can scale this recipe up to feed a bigger crew if you need to.
Ingredients:
2 pound bag raw, frozen shrimp
1 pack smoked sausage
1 teaspoons olive oil (for browning sausage)
1/2 cup Old Bay seasoning
6 ears fresh corn cut into 2-3 inch pieces
15-20 new potatoes (skin on)
Optional: Can of beer
Serve with Cocktail sauce and lemon

Directions:
1. Cut smoked sausage into 1 inch slices and brown in a skillet with a little olive oil. You can just put the sausage into the pot and skip the browning, but I think it adds much more flavor.
2. Fill a large pot halfway with water and add Old Bay seasoning and optional beer. Bring to a boil. Add potatoes and cook about 15 minutes.
3. Add corn and sausage and return to a boil. Cook about 5 minutes.
4. Add shrimp and cook another 5 minutes until shrimp are cooked.
5. Drain off water (save it if you're cooking another batch). Dump out on a table covered with paper. Serve with cocktail sauce and lemon.
