Unusual Nesting Birds - Sakhalin Leaf Warbler (Phylloscopus borealoides)

The Sakhalin leaf warbler (Phylloscopus borealoides) is a songbird, a warbler species in the family Phylloscopidae. It is found in Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands and Japan. It's an endemic species for these islands. Previously it was considered a subspecies of pale-legged leaf warbler (Phylloscopus tenellipes). The differences in Sakhalin leaf warbler and pale-legged leaf warbler song (or vocalization) were the main reason to pronounce the Sakhalin leaf warbler a separate species.
These birds nest in various shelters (depressions, niches, crevices, behind hanging roots, etc.) and the nests are not visible from the outside. The nest is a massive structure, often round, less often oval.
This bird family nests under the hanging roots on a river bank. It is completely hidden. You can hear the sound of flowing water on the background.
We set up a camera with infrared mode to observe the bird behavior.
