One Bullet – and the 25-Year Ricochet | #BHeard Docs: The Damage Done

One day in 1996, Carolyn Jones walked out of her Bed-Stuy church and into a shooting; though she wasn’t the target, a bullet traveled almost two blocks and hit her in the head. She survived, but still suffers from damage to her brain. Two young men went to prison, though both deny having fired a gun that day. One of them, Michael, served 21 years before receiving clemency, thanks in part to Carolyn’s advocacy for his release. We witness an extraordinary conversation between them, but meanwhile, she is urging the release of the other man, still behind bars.
