Brooklyn Made | Na’ye Perez
Focusing on themes including Black resilience, love and care, Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist Na’ye Perez deconstructs his memory-laden artistic process and explains the work’s connection to the late Pop Smoke. Titled after the Pop Smoke song, this work can be viewed as an ode to the meteoric rise of the hip hop star and his recent tragic death at the age of 20. What You Know About Love… can be viewed in the BRIC House Hallway until August 28, 2022. Produced by Kaykay Sublime and Kecia Élan Cole.
