★メルセデス・ベンツ 280TE(S123) に関して
W114の後継として1976年から1985年まで生産された。
ステーションワゴン（S123）はメルセデスとしてはこのモデルが初めてであり、T-モデルと呼ばれた。(Tは観光旅行、輸送の頭文字のTを表す)

基本構造はセダンと同一であり、後部座席は非対称分割タイプの折りたたみ式で、ラゲッジスペースは通常のポジションで523L、後部座席を折りたたむと879Lであり、オプションで、後ろ向きの2人掛け折り畳み座席が設置される7人乗り仕様も選択することが出来た。

リアサスペンションには、シトロエンのハイドロニューマチック・サスペンションの特許を用いた油圧式のレベライザー機構を備えており、重い荷物を積んだときの車高を調節する機能をはたしていた。
搭載される、直列6気筒DOHCエンジンは、2740ccの排気量から、最高出力185psを発揮した。

It was produced from 1976 to 1985 as a successor to the W114.
This model was the first Mercedes station wagon (S123) and was called the T-model. (T stands for tourism, the initial letter T for transportation)

The basic structure is the same as the sedan, the rear seats are asymmetrical split type folding type, the luggage space is 523L in the normal position, 879L when the rear seats are folded, and an optional rear-facing two-seat folding seat is installed. It was also possible to select a 7-seater specification.

The rear suspension was equipped with a hydraulic levelizer mechanism using Citroën's hydropneumatic suspension patent, which functioned to adjust the vehicle height when heavily loaded.

The installed in-line 6-cylinder DOHC engine produced a maximum output of 185ps from a displacement of 2740cc.
