Overthinking happens to everyone and it can affect us in negative ways if unaware.

Truth

A fitness journey is all about learning and improving, enjoying the process, however sometimes people tend to focus on too many things at once instead of following the basics.

Example

Some people, especially beginners can get too caught up on what exercises are the best, in what way they should be performed, etc.

First hand experience allows for the best lessons, even if you have to do and exercise which was better off not being done in the first place.

Learning

As you progress and improve at training, dieting, etc, learning is inevitable. However, it can be beneficial to do your own research and try things. Find what works for you and stick with it.

Getting caught up on everything that people tell you what to do or not to do will simply cause you to be overwhelmed and possibly get off track.

Conclusion

Make your own choices, implement trial and error, learn, find and use what is effective for you and above all, ensure you are getting better and becoming a better you.
