To my Rookie Self - 5 years later... 5 Things I'd tell myself

In this video, I celebrated five years of service as a Police Officer. I've had the privilege of providing service for VERY rural areas, and highly populated Urban centres. Along the way, I have gained experiences that, after five years, I would look back at my ROOKIE SELF and share a little insight of things to keep in mind as I "Hit The Road" for the first time. After five years, I still feel like I'm just getting started, and I have a LONG way to go, however, knowing what I know now... back then, would have made things a LOT smoother :)

There are a TON of things I could say, but I have boiled it down to these five thoughts.

This job isn't for everyone... there are stressors that are ONLY understood and realized once in this position. This "job" has many ups and downs, like just about anything... One thing I have learned... is to ALWAYS LEARN!
