How to toast spices -Tikka Masala Blend | Flavor Lab

In this video I show the general technique for toasting spices. Specifically I am doing a Tikka Masala Spice blend.

Tikka Masala Spice Blend

Whole Spices:

1 table spoon of caraway seeds
1 tablespoon of peppercorns
1/2 tablespoon of Fennel
1/2 tablespoon of fenugreek (optional)
1 tablespoon of coriander seeds
about ten cloves.

Powdered spices:

2 teaspoons of paprika
1 teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon of tumeric
