Alright, today I am going to make some ice cream without using a maker. It’s a really simple recipe and is a great recipe if you have little ones who want to help. Additionally, it doesn’t require any fancy equipment. I am going to outline two different ways to make it, as well as explain a mistake I made, so hopefully, your time is a lot more painless than mine.

Ingredients:
1 cup Heavy Cream
1 cup Half and Half
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum (optional)

At least 1/2 cup of salt per 2 cups of ice
