Mateen Cleaves Puts on a Show vs. Kalamazoo Central (1995)
Flint Northern's Mateen Cleaves dazzled in his team's 94-78 victory over Kalamazoo Central in Michigan's 1995 Class A state semi-finals. Showcasing a little bit of everything - a killer cross, reverse layup, dunk, chasedown block, low-key Eurostep in the open floor - Cleaves combined forces with future Michigan State teammate and 1995 Mr. Basketball runner-up Antonio Smith (27 points, 15 rebounds) to send Central packing.
