42-year-old Kevin Willis and 19-year-old Josh Smith Trade Dunks (2004)
December 22, 2004 - At 42-years-old (and 107 days) Kevin Willis became one of the oldest players to dunk in NBA history. In fact, Willis would throw down seven dunks during the 2004-05 season, his last coming at 42-years-old and 222 days (4-16-05 vs. Chicago). That would mark the final dunk of his career.
All told, as of 2020, Willis is the fourth oldest player to dunk in NBA history. A breakdown:
1. Robert Parish (at least 43-years-115-days - had seven dunks during the 1996-97 season, this is the only video documentation thus far): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbDLTfxrH74&ab_channel=LamarMatic
2. Vince Carter (43-years-6-days): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2hSKj82LfM&ab_channel=MaxaMillion711
3. Dikembe Mutombo (42-years-289-days): https://youtu.be/Rz1qErH-ZQM?t=112

5. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (42-years-51 or 53-days; either Game 1 or Game 2 of the 1989 NBA Finals): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwTyxXPr8gY&t=1s&ab_channel=RyanVanDusen
Willis is also the second oldest player in NBA history, behind only Nat Hickey, who, as a coach, unretired and made two brief appearances with the Providence Steamrollers of the BAA in 1947 (technically still considered a part of NBA history).
