December 25, 1987 - In only his third NBA season but already a star, New York Knicks center Patrick Ewing served up a delicious Christmas Day gift for the MSG faithful with an impressive fourth quarter block on Bill Laimbeer followed by an open floor run-out that was capped off by a soaring Statue of Liberty finish. Ewing finished with 28 points and 9 rebounds in a 91-87 loss to the Detroit Pistons.
