Joe Dumars Scores 28 Points on Doc & Spud in the 1991 Playoffs
April 28, 1991 - Filling the void left by an injured Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars experienced the most productive individual season of his career during the 1990-91 season (up to that point). Making his second consecutive all-star appearance, Dumars averaged 20.4 and 5.5 rebounds for a Detroit Pistons team driving for their third consecutive NBA championship.
In his team's first round series against the Atlanta Hawks, Dumars pumped his scoring average up to 23.8 points per game while shooting a blistering 56.3 percent from deep over the course of a five-game series. In Game 2, Dumars scored 28 in a 101-88 win.
