I uploaded this video as a labor of love under FAIR USE, as an educational tool for scholarly research and to further educate the public on the musical legacy of the Bamboo Organ of Las Piñas, and to spread love and appreciation for a most unique musical instrument. This video is NOT meant for commercial use or meant to be monetized in any way, shape, or form. This CD used to be widely available on platforms such as Amazon, but is currently extremely hard to find. Going prices for this CD, USED, on Amazon, now fetch over $100 USD, and is prohibitively expensive for most would-be purchasers. The only reasonable place to order this CD from currently is Sinus Verlag (see link below), and as of July 2021, I am not even sure if it is still in print. Contact Sinus Verlag directly for more details.

As a Filipino American musician with a specialty in Baroque music, I fell in love with the sound of the Bamboo Organ many years ago through recordings, but as of July 2021 have not visited it in person yet. One of my compositions (Organ Sonata No. 1) was performed by Jennifer Pascual (organist of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York) at the International Bamboo Organ Festival in February 2012. I unfortunately was unable to be present at the time. Here is a recording of myself playing my sonata: https://youtu.be/iqNeSjLEbjI It is also available for sale in an easy organ music anthology, “The Greensboro Collection” under my former legal name, “Rogil Ambrosio Birco”: https://theleupoldfoundation.org/product/the-greensboro-collection/

I consider myself an unofficial ambassador for the Bamboo Organ and wish to share my love for this instrument with others around the world. I have noticed that although the Bamboo Organ is well-known and loved in the Philippines and in Europe, especially in the German-speaking countries of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, it is little known in the United States, except among a few hardcore pipe organ enthusiasts and Filipino American musicians such as myself. I hope to change that in my own little way and make it truly well-known.
