Here is the FULL module 6.1 of CRP3: THE SHOULDER online course, covering everything you nee to know about external rotation strengthening of the rotator cuff.
Too many times we see it done wrong, not done at all or some sub-optimal body and arm positioning when people are strengthening the rotator cuff but losing out on stability of the shoulder joint and of the scapula.
In this clip I break down the external rotation strengthening options and educate on correct body position, arm position and range of movement progression for the 45 degree and 90 degree positions. 45 and 90 are more advanced than the standard arm by your side external rotation and need to be done to advance rehab and be online for return to exercise and sport - as it’s a more functional daily life movement and position.
In these exercises you can also pick up loss of strength, loss of range or capsular restriction and scapula or joint stability issues.
