Youths Attack Staff, Smash Machines in Hapur After Fuel Dispute

A shocking incident of violence and vandalism was reported late at night at Santosh Filling Station on Kithaur Road in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district, where a group of youths allegedly attacked a petrol pump following a dispute over fuel.

According to reports, the youths got into an argument with a salesman at the petrol pump before launching a violent attack using sticks and stones.

The accused allegedly vandalised the petrol pump premises and damaged fuel dispensing machines, creating panic among employees present at the spot.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the petrol pump, and the footage is now being examined by police as part of the investigation.

After receiving information about the incident, officials from Hapur Dehat Police Station reached the spot and began an inquiry.

Based on a complaint filed by petrol pump operator Amanveer Narayan Singh Tyagi, police have registered a case and launched a search operation to trace the accused.

Station House Officer Neeraj Kumar said the accused are being identified with the help of CCTV footage and assured that they would be arrested soon. He added that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in the vandalism and assault.
