“Tyre Came Off Midway”: Major Tragedy Averted in Kerala’s Kollam

A major tragedy was narrowly avoided in Kerala’s Kollam district after a speeding bus lost control and overturned near Chittar when its front tyre allegedly detached while the vehicle was in motion.

According to reports, the accident occurred while the bus was travelling from Madathara to Anchal. The technical failure reportedly took place as the bus was negotiating a turn near Chittar.

Officials said the driver’s presence of mind helped prevent a much bigger disaster despite the sudden loss of control.

Several passengers sustained minor injuries in the accident and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.

The incident caused panic among passengers and local residents, while visuals from the accident spot have been circulating on social media.

Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed investigation into the mechanical failure that led to the mishap.
