------------

There are three common mistakes that new coaches make and to be honest, these mistakes are perfectly understandable. I did it myself as a new coach and it's not even something you're really aware of at first because you're so busy fixing and figuring out a lot of other things in your business.

So, to jump right into it.

Mistake number one - shying away from talking about the money. I know this is an uncomfortable conversation and you're always aware that you might come across as too sales-like, but you need to be upfront here. You made your price for a reason. You based your price on your experience, knowledge, and the work you're putting into it, and that's valuable. When you shy away from talking about the price, you decrease the value of what you've produced or what you offer. Don't sell yourself short in that way. Own your price and make your potential customers aware that there's a reason you've chosen that price. If they actually want value, then they'll be willing to pay.

Mistake number two that new coaches often make - not making a clear offer or leaving the call on a cliffhanger. The first part is something we're all guilty of and at times it can come across as a sales pitch, but if you deliver your message the right way, then it saves you and your client time. Let them know exactly what you're offering them and how much it costs. Also, let them know that while you have free things available, the paid products bring so much more value and knowledge to the table. Once you've made a clear offer, end the call on a clear note. Don't be confused about who will be calling who or when you'll follow up with them. Let them know that you'll give them some time to think about it and check on their finances and you'll follow up with them the next day.

Mistake number 3 - making assumptions. Sometimes, based on the information we're given, we assume that a client will be the perfect match for us, and then it doesn't work out. Sometimes we think that potential clients might not be in a position to afford our services, and we make assumptions there. I've done this twice, on both sides of the story, which I explain in the video. Hold off on the assumptions. People are coming to you for a reason and if you can help them, then you absolutely should.

That's when you owe it to them to give your time, energy, and magic into making things work for their business. Your clients have now come to you asking for sales help and programs on how to grow their business. That’s when it becomes just as much your baby as it is theirs.
