‘The real pandemic is rank political incompetence’: Alan Jones

Sky News host Alan Jones says the federal and state governments “created the problem” in New South Wales, not coronavirus.

“They have created the problem by their ludicrous lockdown response,” he said.

“And now the government would have you believe, Morrison and Berejiklian, that they will shovel out more money for a problem they have created.”

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a recurring disaster payment for workers and further support for businesses and sole traders amid the New South Wales COVID crisis.

According to Mr Jones, Liberal governments are “abandoning every syllable of Liberal principles”.

“Someone will pick up the tab later on,” he said.

“We can manage the virus, the real pandemic is rank political incompetence.”
