Remembrance Sunday - A poet who paid the ultimate price in Normandy in 1944.

REMEMBRANCE DAY - A POET WHO PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE IN NORMANDY 🥀

▪️Officer and war poet Lt. David Rhys Geraint Jones penned these words before being killed in action in Normandy on June 28, 1944. On this day of remembrance, may we take the time to think and honor all those who have served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. May we never take for granted that our peace is bought with those who have gone on before and gave their lives for our freedom.
Poem "The light of the day is cold and grey"
Written by Lt. David Rhys Geraint Jones.
