99th Infantry Division in the Battle of the Bulge - The day I lost my squad leader

WWII Veteran Nicholas "Nick" Gianopoulos, served in Europe with the 393rd Infantry Regiment of the 99th Infantry Division.

During the Battle of the Bulge, Nick was only 20 years old when he lost his friend and squad leader, Orlando J.Ricci. In this moving video, Nick recounts the tragic event that took place on December 26th, 1944, a day he would never forget.

Nick made the trip back twice to Belgium to visit the grave of his brother in arms.
