James Worthy's Double Zero Game (1987)

December 11, 1987 - Before, say, 1993 or so, every NBA basketball game carried with it a microscopic chance that one of two things may happen:

1. Someone might shatter a backboard

2. Someone might be rocking an odd jersey number after having their original turn up missing

Michael Jordan once wore No. 12 in 1990 after having his jersey stolen beforehand. Vinnie Johnson's got a game out there in which he wore No. 52. And here, we've got James Worthy rocking the double-zeroes after losing his original at the dry cleaners.

On the mend following a bout with tendonitis, Worthy played just 14 minutes, chipping in eight points in his team's 115-114 win over the Boston Celtics.
