Jacksons and Pixies - Shake Your Gigantic Body (Down to the Ground)

The Jacksons and Pixies may be one of the strangest collaborations in musical history, but there’s no denying that their 1989 anti-body-shaming anthem “Shake Your Gigantic Body (Down to the Ground)" was a screaming success. In fact, both camps would revisit body-awareness issues later in their careers. Michael Jackson’s “The Man in the Mirror (Is Perhaps a Little Too Thin?)" rocketed straight to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon release. And in 1989, the Pixies had a career peak with their haunting single “This Monkey’s Gone on Atkins,” which went to #5 on Billboard's US Alternative chart.
