Today, I'll be showing you how to make the most amazing apple crisp ever! This recipe is super easy and quick to make and very healthy with all the apples and oats in it. It's one of my favorite desserts to bake when apples are in season during the fall and autumn.

Another name for it is apple crumble which gets its name from the delicious crumbly crust topping made up of oats, flour, cinnamon, and brown sugar. The crisp, crumbly, and sweet top contrasts perfectly with the tart and tender apple filling making it a treat that everyone loves. Serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce to make it extra decadent!

INGREDIENTS:
Filling
4 cups (4 medium) apples (e.g. granny smith, golden delicious, gala etc.)
1 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 - 2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon cornstarch/flour (optional) to thicken juices if desired

Topping
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
