Jojo Eskenazi recalls how the Sephardic Jews used to spend their summer time on Florya Beach in Judeo-Spanish of Istanbul

He starts by explaining the preparations and sacrifices that his parents made to take the whole family to the beach and continues recounting how they spent their time there the whole day. In the end of the interview, he tells how the Jews started preferring the Princess’ Islands over the city- beaches and concludes with a couple of sentences, giving an overall picture of the society on the island of Heybeliada.
