Nevada Northern Summer of 2021

Well we are headed back to the Nevada Northern. To check on #81. To ride #93. To say hello to #40. To smell coal smoke. Mostly just to get out to a railroad again! OH! And to check in with Dirt, the cat.

#93 is running today. Always puts on a great show!! #81 is hot. Not running. Or is it? If not it will be SOON. Last of the last things to get done. Testing any day now. Watch Nevada Northern on Fakebook. Er... FACEBOOK. For now, let's wander around the yard and shops and pet Dirt the Cat. Tomorrow we RIDE!!

The Nevada Northern is a great railroad museum. 4 steam locomotives Yes, you read that right FOUR. One runs. #93. One soon will, #81. One is about to be torn down for the 1472 inspection required by the FRA. #40.

AND one is stashed in the RIP building. NO not dead on arrival. Repair in place. A 0-4-0 tank switcher. More on that in a week or two. For now, let's wander the yards in a thunderstorm. And catch a bit of history on these yards.
