STOP Including Pointless Information For IELTS Writing Task 1
In IELTS writing task 1, you have to describe a chart, table, or map. Your task is to pick out the most important bits of information, then present them effectively, highlighting comparisons if necessary. However, one big mistake that people make is including completely pointless information.
What do I mean by "pointless information"? Well, there are various kinds of irrelevant info, but what I want to talk about today are those ideas crammed unnecessarily into the introduction. For example, say you are given a bar chart that lists 10 countries. It is fine to say "10 countries" but if you actually named them all, it would be a problem.
In this video, I will explain why it is a bad idea to include irrelevant information in your introduction and give you 4 concrete examples so that you can better understand what I mean. This is actually a pretty easy problem to fix, so take a little time to absorb this lesson and guide your future IELTS studies.
