A 5h Drive To Metal Detect Bavaria! - Was It Worth It?

A 5h drive with 3 different trains to a forest in Bavaria for a little bit of metal detecting :).
Well, I'm not doing this very often but I needed a change and a small adventure. It was a random forest, I didn't know what to expect (I don't think there was anything "special" about it, from historical perspective).

I don't like trains (or trains with people inside to be more precise), so it was pure torture. The weather wasn't helping either as it was hot that day and trains were full on my way home.

Was it worth it? Hmm, not really (and I'm not talking about finds as I don't care about them that much). But because I had to catch a certain train combination, there was too much pressure to get out of the woods on time.
Usually I always find my way out, but I took a different route back and the vegetation got dense at some point. Towards the end I had not much time left, my GPS somehow quit working and it was difficult to find the right trail back into town. In the end I had to run to the train station!

Nevertheless it was a memorable day with a few nice finds. I wouldn't want to repeat it, but this adventure added some experience.

I hope it wasn't too boring, but I thought, some of you might enjoy a longer video during holidays, that's why I decided to edit this video (which wasn't easy due to all the musket balls! :D).
