Snapshots Have Their Purpose | Practice Creative Photography
We can enjoy the process of taking a photograph, even if all we have is a few moments just to capture a quick photo. If you have the time, and even if your subjects are not particularly inspiring, use this opportunity to practice your techniques but also your creativity.
iNaturalist and Project Noah are two wonderful Citizen Scientist and Naturalist projects you can join if you want to share your snapshots and research of the subjects you find in nature.
From iNaturalist: “A joint initiative of the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society: from the rarest butterfly to the most common backyard weed. We share your findings with scientific data repositories like the Global Biodiversity Information Facility to help scientists find and use your data.” www.inaturalist.org
From Project Noah: “A global citizen science platform to discover, share and identify wildlife. Learn about wildlife and how to identify species, connect with experts from around the world who offer helpful descriptions on your spottings.” www.projectnoah.org
