BLACK AND WHITE Nature Photography | Entry-Level Camera Challenge | DSLR & Phone Macro Photography

For years I have been reluctant to try black and white photography. I had no idea how transformative and enlightening it would be to finally attempt it.

To add to the challenge, I went back to using my first - beginner DSLR camera, and a 60mm macro lens. I set the picture style to “Monochrome” and then I set the camera to capture both RAW and Jpeg images, so the color information would be retained in the RAW files and the Jpegs would be the black and white images.

I also set my phone camera to monochrome and used the Olloclip macro lenses throughout the morning photo walk.
