Your Camera is in the Hands of an Artist | Close-up and Macro Photography Tips
Creativity is a journey, and this journey is a walk filled with wonder and exploration, a process by which we are constantly looking and interpreting what we see. Artists seek to create work that resonates with their viewers, but the ones who benefit the most are the artists themselves.
Learn to think as an artist so that even when a quick shot is all you can do at a given moment, you will still instinctively apply some compositional design practices.
Come with me on a photo-walk as I explain the thought process behind the photographs I take. For this video, I took photographs with my 100mm macro lens, a 100-400mm telephoto lens and my mobile phone with Olloclip and Moment macro lenses. I enjoy getting close up to nature through these lenses and typically shoot hand-held with a wide open aperture, covering subjects such as birds, spiders and flowers.
