Garden Photography with a Macro Lens | How I Edit Photos (For Beginner to Intermediate)
The light was perfect for photography because even though it was a bright sunny day, the surrounding trees shaded the light. I could have spent hours here but we only had a few minutes, I liked how the pictures turned out so today I would like to show what I routinely do when I edit my photos. But, the first thing to remember is editing begins when you make decisions at the time that you take the photograph. Try to work hard to get your exposure right and your framing right so you only need to do minimal editing.
I will be using Photoshop, but these steps can be taken with similar tools and editing features in other kinds of image editing software as well. I had to reduce the size of the video and cut several photos and photo edits, and I sped up some of the video to save time, this might be confusing at times, please let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to help.
The most common changes I make to photographs are:
Color adjustments and adjustments to highlights (and sometimes shadows.)
Slight sharpening in select areas.
Add a vignette to help focus the eye on the main subject.
Occasionally remove unnecessary distractions.
Sometimes cropping to help the composition.
