Struggling with woodland compositions? use a telephoto lens, it'll help!

Earlier this week I ventured out to my local woodlands for a spot of photography. Woodland photography is brilliant on so many levels. There is an endless supply of woodlands, you can photograph them at any time during the year and you don't necessarily need to be up with the larks to get the best images.

Some people however struggle to find compositions in woodlands. It's a known fact that chaos ensues in the woods and some people wrestle to tame it. Not that you really need to tame it of course.

Since I mainly use my 70-200mm telephoto lens to capture woodland scenes I thought I would demonstrate just how good a long lens can actually be.
