In this video KTO goes to LA to interview Pyrex Whippa. Pyrex Whippa is a rapper and producer from Baltimore who signed to 808 Mafia under Southside. In this interview Arshan talks to Pyrex about the challenges of getting to where he is now; from living in his car homeless to wanting to quit music and then signing to Southside. He talks about Baltimore rappers, like ASAP Ant, Lor Scoota, and how ASAP Ant from ASAP MOB was one of the first people Pyrex made music for. Arshan goes on to ask when Pyrex knew he made it and he says it was when he produced on the Migos’s Offsets' album Father of Four which hit number 1 on the charts. He goes onto talk about how he gave a beat to Jack Harlow in 2018, and how the two are good friends. PartyNextDoor comes up in the conversation, Pyrex saying he is a big fan of his music, specifically PartyNextDoor3 and Colors. Arshan and Pyrex agree that Partynextdoor needs to drop more music along with Future since Pyrex loves Hndrxx so much. They talk more about coming up in the music scene, coming to the topic of Producers and Producer Tags. Pyrex talks about getting 21 savage on his producer tag. Pyrex says he got it just by asking Metro Boomin.. Arshan asks Pyrex about Nav and their friendship, and Pyrex hints that Nav and him have something in the vault.
