In this 1on1 interview, Arshan meets up with 808 Mafia & Cactus Jack member, Luxury Tax 50. You might have heard of him from his GANG GANG verse on the JACKBOYS project, or even his own project “Law”, which was dropped right before his time in prison. We went to his house in LA to talk about his rough childhood upbringing in Inglewood California, where he had to live through his brother dying, getting shot himself, but also the fortunate parts of his childhood, where he grew up with his cousin, NBA player, Trevor Ariza. He talks about How Trevor Ariza was the best thing that ever happened to him since he got taken across the world in places like Paris and backstage to Laker games, getting to meet Kobe Bryant. Luxury Tax also talks about his relationship with Travis Scott, which all really started from notorious music industry legend, CEO of Death Row Records, Suge Knight. He mentions Suge Knight introducing him to Southside from 808 Mafia, who then introduced him to Travis Scott during the Days Before Rodeo era. Otherwise, we talked about him working on the JACKBOYS 2 album (which we got the first inside scoop on), and how exactly the creative process is like for an album with Cactus Jack. Does he just send songs to the A&R, Sickamore? Do him and Travis make songs in the studio? He tells us everything in this 1on1 interview. This is part of our content from our recent trip to LA.
