CLIFF JUMPING At The GRAND CANYON in Chiang Mai, Thailand // 231

Welcome to the Grand Canyon of the East! Chiang Mai, aka the Digital Nomad Capital of the World, offers so much including cliff jumping in a canyon (and fantastic food and temples and ruins and markets and nature)!

I went to Chiang Mai for a weekend getaway (and some cliff jumping) from my teaching job in Nakhonnayok. Nakhonnayok is a smaller town near Bangkok where I'm teaching English for 5 months. (For more info about teaching English in Thailand or abroad, please leave a comment, I'd love to chat about it.)

The Grand Canyon in Chiang Mai is no where near as glorious as its homonymous comparison in the United States, but it still make for a great day trip out of the city. The Grand Canyon in Chiang Mai is a bit...small, but its walls still tower over you as you float in a tube around its lakes.

My favorite part about the Grand Canyon in Chiang Mai is the cliff jumping ledge! There's a staff member with life jackets stationed at the cliff jumping ledge for safety, but it doesn't cost you to jump as many times as you want. (Though your arms may protest after climbing up the rope-net every time.)

I highly recommend the Grand Canyon in Chiang Mai, Thailand for a day trip. I had a fantastic time, despite rain and cool weather. Keep the Grand Canyon in mind on your next trip to Chiang Mai.
